This study investigates the impact of genetic variation in the cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) gene on formation of the vasoconstrictive, pro-inflammatory prostaglandin F(2)(alpha) (PGF(2)(alpha)) and development of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
