The parathyroid hormone (PTH)/PTH-related peptide (PTHrP) receptor (PTH1R) belongs to family B of seven-transmembrane-spanning receptors and is activated by PTH and PTHrP. Upon PTH stimulation, the rat PTH1R becomes phosphorylated at seven serine residues.
