The prevalence and frequency of the dihydrofolate reductase (dhfr) and dihydropteroate synthetase (dhps) mutations associated with sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine (SP) resistance at 13 sentinel surveillance sites in southern Mozambique were examined regularly between 1999 and 2004.
