PAG, the phosphoprotein associated with glycosphingolipid-enriched microdomains (GEM), negatively regulates Src family kinases by recruiting C-terminal Src kinase (Csk) to the membrane, where Csk phosphorylates the inhibitory tyrosine of the Src kinases.
