Synaptic scaffolding molecule (S-SCAM) interacts with a wide variety of molecules at excitatory and inhibitory synapses. It comprises three alternative splicing variants, S-SCAMalpha, -beta, and -gamma. We generated mutant mice lacking specifically S-SCAMalpha.
