Association studies provide a powerful approach to link DNA variants and genetic predisposition to complex diseases. In this study, we determined the genotype and allelic frequencies of genes encoding enzymes involved in alcohol metabolism in alcoholic and nonalcoholic subjects of related ethnicity.
