Endothelins (EDNs) are peptides, produced by various tissues, with potent vasoactive and mitogenic properties. Endothelin actions are mediated via specific G protein-coupled receptors of two subtypes, endothelin-receptor-A (EDNRA) and endothelin-receptor-B (EDNRB).
