BACKGROUND: Activation of RhoA/Rho kinase (ROK) pathway by angiotensin II (Ang II) is involved in the pathophysiology of hypertension and remodeling. In Bartter's and Gitelman's syndrome (BS/GS), the short-term and long-term signaling of Ang II are blunted.
