Recently we reported that the occurrence of lung adenoma caused by 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK) was completely prevented by pretreatment of female A/J mice with 8-methoxypsoralen, a potent inhibitor of cytochrome P450 (P450 or CYP) 2A [Takeuchi et al.
