We report that Rab38, a gene within the Rf-2 locus appears to influence the development of proteinuria (UPV) and albuminuria (UAV) in fawn-hooded hypertensive rats (FHH). Using congenic animals, we narrowed the region to eight genes; however, only one gene had a sequence variant.
