One-hundred-thirty-tree patients with neuropathologically confirmed Alzheimer's disease (AD) were genotyped for the polymorphic regions in the apolipoprotein Eepsilon (APOE)and a new polymorphism in the promoter region of the alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (ACT) gene.
