The effects on CTL recognition of individual amino acid substitutions within epitopes I, II, and III of SV40 tumor Ag (T Ag) were examined. Epitope I spans amino acids 207 to 215, and epitope II/III is within residues 223 to 231 of SV40 T Ag.
