Mutation of adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) gene results in incidence or development of polyps and colorectal cancer. It has been reported that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) inhibit cell growth, cause cell cycle arrest, and induce apoptosis.
