Chondrosarcoma is the second most common primary malignant neoplasm of bone in adults, but the major genetic events involved in the progression of this often-fatal cancer remain to be elucidated. Loss of heterozygosity of chromosome 10q has been reported in 67% of chondrosarcoma.
