The capacity of the topoisomerase I inhibitor camptothecin (CPT) to induce single locus mutations at the hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (hprt) gene and the DNA changes underlying induced mutations were analysed in Chinese hamster ovary cells.
