Dexrazoxane combined with doxorubicin (+ 5-fluorouracil + cyclophosphamide - the FAC regime) leads to a significant decrease in doxorubicin cardiotoxicity and a significant increase in median survival time for patients with advanced breast cancer responsive to FAC.
