Mutagenesis at [GT/CA](10), [TC/AG](11) and [TTCC/AAGG](9) microsatellite sequences inserted in the herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase (HSV-tk) gene was analyzed in isogenic mutL(+) and mutL(-) Escherichia coli.
