Transforming growth factor beta1(TGF-beta1) is a stimulator of malignant progression in mouse skin carcinogenesis. TGF-beta1 exerts a differential effect on cultured nontumorigenic (MCA3D cell line) and transformed (PDV cell line) keratinocytes.
