<h4>Background: </h4> Both latent class analysis (LCA) assignment based upon a panel of plasma biomarkers and interleukin-18 (IL-18) plasma level have been shown to predict prognosis and treatment response in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).
