The O-GIcNAc transferase (OGT) is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm where it regulates nucleocytoplasmic proteins by modifying serine and threonine residues with a non-extended monosaccharide, β-N-Acetyl-Glucosamine (O-GlcNAc).
