Normal pancreas function supports both digestion and the hormonal regulation of whole-body metabolism. We find pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) disrupts the normal function of the remaining pancreas, leading to altered systemic metabolism and peripheral tissue wasting that begins early in disease progression.
