Huntington disease (HD) is a progressive and devastating neurodegenerative disease caused by expansion of a glutamine-coding CAG tract in the huntingtin ( HTT ) gene above a critical threshold of ∼35 repeats resulting in expression of mutant HTT (mHTT).
