BACKGROUND: Human serum paraoxonase activity is related to the paraoxonase Gln-Arg 192 polymorphism genotype. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between the Gln-Arg 192 polymorphism of paraoxonase and ischaemic heart disease (IHD).
