The cytochrome P450 mono-oxygenase gene, CYP2D6 on chromosome 22q13 (ch22q13), has been inconsistently associated with Parkinson's disease. Associations with CYP2D6 have either been absent altogether or have involved more than one polymorphism, many of which have the same metabolic effect on gene expression.
