Multiple specific chromosomal deletions can be found in human epithelial ovarian cancer by cytogenetic analysis or molecular techniques. Somatic allelic deletion or loss of heterozygosity (LOH) in a tumor is considered circumstantial evidence for the location of tumor suppressor genes.
