Staphylococcus aureus BM4626 (ciprofloxacin MIC, 0.5 microgram/ml) and BM4627 (ciprofloxacin MIC, 32 microgram/ml) were isolated from the same patient before and during pefloxcin therapy for septic tibial nonunion, respectively.
