Fluoroquinolone-resistant mutants were selected from Staphylococcus aureus NCTC 8532 (F77), and two GrlA mutants of F77 (F193 and F194) with moxifloxacin, sparfloxacin, ofloxacin, grepafloxacin, levofloxacin and trovafloxacin.
