An individual genotype of aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 was observed using nail clippings by an improved method consisting of DNA extraction with guanidium thiocyanate, genomic DNA amplification by non-isotopic polymerase chain reaction, and gel electrophoresis of the DNA fragment.
