The role of interferon-gamma (IFN gamma) in contact hypersensitivity induced by the haptens, oxazolone and 2,4,6-trinitrochlorobenzene (TNCB), was investigated in mice with a targeted disruption of the IFN gamma receptor (IFN gamma-R-/-).
