Huntington's disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by an expanded CAG repeat in the huntingtin (HTT) gene, resulting in an expanded polyglutamine (polyQ) tract in HTT protein. Expanded polyQ tracts cause mutant HTT (mHTT) to aggregate and accumulate as cellular inclusions.
