INTRODUCTION: Large observational and Mendelian randomization (MR) studies have demonstrated a strong association between both elevated LDL cholesterol (LDL-c) and triglycerides (TG) with risk of aortic stenosis (AS), although randomized trials showed no benefit of statins for AS.
