Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is genetically characterized by the IG::CCND1 translocation mediated by an aberrant V(D)J rearrangement. CCND1 translocations and overexpression have been identified in occasional aggressive B-cell lymphomas with unusual features for MCL.
