BACKGROUND: Thiopurines such as mercaptopurine (MP) are widely used to treat acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Thiopurine-S-methyltransferase (TPMT) and Nudix hydrolase 15 (NUDT15) inactivate thiopurines, and no-function variants are associated with drug-induced myelosuppression.
