Speckle-type POZ protein (SPOP) is a substrate-binding adaptor of the CULLIN3/RING-box1 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. SPOP is frequently mutated in prostate and endometrial cancers, whereas it is overexpressed in renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
