BACKGROUND: Germline mutation of CDH1 is rare and leads to hereditary diffuse gastric cancer (DGC). METHODS: Patients (pts) with CDH1 mutation who underwent multidisciplinary counseling followed by open prophylactic total gastrectomy (PTG) by a single surgeon were reviewed.
