BACKGROUND: Flortaucipir (AV-1451) and pyridinyl-butadienyl-benzothiazole 3 (PBB3) are newly developed and commonly used positron emission tomography (PET) tracers to detect tau deposition in tauopathies, including frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
