INTRODUCTION: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-γ coactivator-1α (PGC-1α) plays an important role in Parkinson's disease (PD). The aim of the study was to evaluate PGC-1α gene expression in the peripheral blood of PD patients.
