Mice transgenic for genomic segments harboring PHAII (pseudohypoaldosteronism type II) mutant Wnk4 (with-No-Lysine kinase 4) (TgWnk4PHAII) have hyperkalemia which is currently believed to be the result of high activity of Na-Cl cotransporter (NCC).
