Tumor relapse after radiotherapy is a significant challenge to oncologists, even after recent the advances in technologies. Here, we showed that cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), a major component of cancer stromal cells, promoted irradiated cancer cell recovery and tumor relapse after radiotherapy.
