Abstract Mutations in glucocerebrosidase ( GBA ) are a common risk factor for Parkinson's disease (PD). The scavenger receptor class B member 2 ( SCARB2 ) gene encodes a receptor responsible for the transport of glucocerebrosidase (GCase) to the lysosome.
