Lipocalin 2 (LCN2), which is highly expressed by dendritic cells (DCs) when treated with dexamethasone (Dex) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS), plays a key role in the defence against bacteria and is also involved in the autocrine apoptosis of T-cells.
