BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: TIF1γ (transcription intermediary factor 1 gamma), which belongs to transcription intermediary factor 1 family, is an inhibitor of the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway and could inhibit the signal transduction mediated by TGF-β.
