INTRODUCTION: Xenograft models of epithelial malignancies potentially have greater correlation with clinical end points. We implanted 153 primary non-small cell lung carcinomas into non-obese diabetic-severe combined immunodeficient mice to develop primary lung cancer xenografts. Sixty-three xenografts formed.
