PURPOSE: Cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) genotypes and the dextromethorphan/dextrorphan (DXM/DXT) metabolic ratio (MR), which is a marker of CYP2D6 activity, were studied in 118 unrelated healthy Ecuadorians.
