Adult rat arterial smooth muscle cells were shown to express mRNA for the platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) alpha- and beta-receptors and to bind radioiodinated PDGF-AA and PDGF-BB in a phenotype-dependent and growth state-dependent manner.
