The investigators quantified the relationship between the genetic polymorphism of HMGCR (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase) and the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)-lowering effects of atorvastatin in a prospective clinical study.
