Drug transporters are involved in clinically relevant drug-drug interactions. P-glycoprotein (P-gp) is an efflux transporter that displays genetic polymorphism. Phenotyping permits evaluation of real-time, in vivo P-gp activity and P-gp-mediated drug-drug interactions.
