Freeze-fracture studies of daunomycin-sensitive and daunomycin-resistant P388 cell lines, reveal a significant increase in the numerical density of intramembrane particles at both, the protoplasmic and the exoplasmic leaflets of the plasma membrane from the drug-resistant cells.
