The breast cancer resistance protein, BCRP/ABCG2, is a half-molecule ATP-binding cassette transporter that facilitates the efflux of various anticancer agents from the cell, including 7-ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin, topotecan and mitoxantrone.
