Transition from malignant schwannoma to malignant triton tumor is analyzed in a case report on a patient with recurring cancers and suspected familial predisposition. It is hypothesized that rhabdomyoblastic differentiation, which distinguishes triton from schwannoma, might be attributable to Hedgehog-Patched pathway malfunctioning.
